The City of Burnaby is encouraging you to sign up for online service to prepare for a potential strike from Canada Post, which could start as early as May 22.
The postal strike would result in delays to property tax notices, business licence notices, payments, and other important documents. Daily interest may apply to any unpaid balances and fees. If you’re mailing your payment, the City does not consider postmark as payment date.
We are committed to providing you with timely and effective communication throughout the potential postal strike.
Residents and businesses: Register for a My Property Portal profile to see your account balance, make payments, and view and receive notices by email.
There are many ways for businesses and residents to pay outstanding fees:
1. Online/financial institution/telephone banking
When paying via online banking, phone banking, ATMs or financial institutions, select the appropriate City of Burnaby payee account and account number.
Please check with your financial institution as some banks require up to 3 business days for payment processing.
Here are the most commonly used institutions where you can submit your online payment(s).
