Spooktacular Halloween events in Burnaby for all ages

This fall, get ready for an unforgettable Halloween in Burnaby! We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to Haunted Village at Burnaby Village Museum, and to celebrate the return of Central Spark—the city’s biggest and most exciting Halloween party.

“There is no better place to celebrate Halloween than right here in Burnaby,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “There are so many incredible events to check out, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the biggest Halloween party of the year at Central Spark!”

From October 22 to November 1, we invite you to participate in a series of fun, family friendly events. Families can step into a world of enchantment and mystery at Burnaby Village Museum’s Haunted Village: Legends, Tales and Other Stories starting Wednesday, October 22 through to Sunday, October 26. You’ll be thrilled with the fireworks at Central Spark on Friday, October 24. In addition, check out the many spooktacular events hosted at our recreation centres throughout the month.

Haunted Village: Legends, Tales and Other Stories

Date and time: October 22-26, 4-9 pm
General Admission: $10, children (2-12 years) $5

Location: Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Avenue
Highlights: Discover beloved and timeless tales from around the world. Encounter characters and scenes like: Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Count Dracula’s Castle, Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, plus many more. Nightly activities include dance party with DJ Dracula, live Indigenous storytelling, incredible circus performances and more. Remember to wear your costume!

Central Spark

Date and time: Friday, October 24, 6-8 pm (fireworks at 7:30 pm)
Admission: free
Location: Central Park, at Kingsway and Patterson Avenue
Highlights: Enjoy a lively dance party with a DJ, delicious bites from food trucks, spooky entertainment, photo ops, a dazzling drone light display, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
