Calling all family-friendly performers!

The City of Burnaby will showcase live performers in outdoor settings, as part of a series of arts-based initiatives planned for summer 2022.

Emerging and established performers are encouraged to apply to the Burnaby Festivals Office to perform at events including Sounds Like Summer pop-up music concerts, Summer Stages parks performances and Civic Square Family Nights. We are looking for roving performers, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, theatre groups and storytellers for the target age group of 5 to 12 years old.

The City of Burnaby encourages Burnaby-based performers and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities to apply.

Email [email protected] with the subject line “Call for Artists 2022.” Email only, no phone calls please. Deadline to apply is Monday, April 11, 2022.

Please include the following information in your email application:

• If you are a Burnaby resident.
• Information about your performance/area of expertise. 
• A link to a sample of your content (e.g. a link to your web-page or YouTube video) and your electronic press kit. 
• The length(s) of performance options (20-60 minutes, 1-1.5 hours).
• The size of your performance group.
