The Burnaby Festival of Learning is back. From May 6-10, explore a diverse lineup of online and in-person events celebrating innovative ideas and exciting initiatives of Burnaby's community members and artists.
This year's festival will explore sustainability in its many forms: environmental, social, and economic, through workshops, art shows, and discussion panels to facilitate meaningful conversations about how we can move towards a more sustainable future.
With over 40 free events, the festival promises to offer something for all ages and interests. Learn new skills and gain new insights by exploring the science behind climate change, learning to grow your own garden, and finding ways to reduce carbon emissions. You can also attend workshops on breathing and mindfulness, cedar weaving, land acknowledgement, arts and crafts, ballet and more.
Created in partnership between the City of Burnaby and Simon Fraser University, the festival promotes lifelong learning, authentic connection, societal change and capacity building. This is the festival's sixth year after being founded in 2016.
