How do you know what you look like?
Same Difference is an immersive audio visual experience inviting audiences to stargaze upon themselves and their images within an evolving and seemingly boundless space. The installation contemplates themes of belonging, self-alienation and identity formation.
The piece is informed by 12 interviews conducted with immigrants and refugees of diverse geo-political and age groups. The interviews are an ever present pulse underscoring the architectural transformations.
A follow up to Theatre Conspiracy’s Foreign Radical, Same Difference continues the company’s dedication to probing documentary form in performance.
Same Difference design language is an evolution of the design concepts first explored by David Mesiha and Parjad Sharifi in Leaky Heaven’s 2011 production Project (X) Faust.
