Weight rooms and fitness studios–a great addition to our Burnaby Lake sports and recreation hub
Our newest centre adds state-of-the-art fitness amenities to our busy Burnaby Lake "sports central" hub of sports fields and ice arenas. Christine Sinclair Community Centre is located across the street from the Bill Copeland Sports Centre.

Do you have a toddler and looking for something fun to do? Join us for Tiny Tikes!
Together with your child, explore and play with a wide variety of toys. Your kids can enjoy ride-on toys, climbers, soccer, basketball and floor hockey.
Tiny Tikes details:
- children 1-5 years (no charge)
- children must be accompanied by at least one participating adult ($1.90 + tax per adult or Be Active Pass accepted)
- pre mobile infants are welcome if they are in a stroller or a snuggly
- drop-in only (first come first served up to a maximum of 60 people total)
- Drop in payments begin 30 minutes prior to activity start time
- schedule subject to change (not available on statutory holidays)
- Adapted Tiny Tikes! This playgroup is designed for families with multi-sensory needs, and includes sensory items and specially trained staff for support in a smaller space.

- Adapted Tiny Tikes: Monday, 6:45-7:45 pm
Activities
Browse winter activities and add favourites to your Wish List. Registration will open at 10 am for Burnaby residents on the following dates:
- December 2: Recreation activities (excluding skating lessons)
- December 3: Arts and heritage activities
General registration for everyone will be open December 6 for recreation, arts and heritage activities. Reminder: Rolling registrations continue for swimming and skating lessons.
Facility features
This extra large gym is large enough for regular floor programs and competitions with seating for spectators.
A variety of equipment located on two floors.
The sauna and steam room is located on the lower level in the weight room across from the change rooms.
Hours: Closes 30 minutes earlier than weight room hours.
Come work out and improve your fitness in our Cycle Studio on the first floor, or get your heart pumping in our Cardio Functional Training room on the second floor.
Stop for a quick bite or refreshments at the Bastion Café on the main level of the community centre. With tables and seating for 20, Bastion is a conveniently casual spot for a delicious light breakfast, lunch or coffee break.
Christine Sinclair Community Centre is now home to a beautifully renovated fine arts studio dedicated to visual arts and ceramics classes. Operated by the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, this expansion enriches our cultural programming and invites the community to explore their creativity in this brand-new specialized space.
