Community Cleanup Events
You’re invited to connect and make a difference at our fun, community-spirited neighbourhood cleanups! Meet like-minded people in your community, enjoy time outdoors, try new things and make an impact locally.
In partnership with Green Teams of Canada’s Lower Mainland Green Team, we have 4 summer cleanups scheduled in each quadrant of Burnaby. See below for dates, meeting locations and registration.
All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Gloves, safety vests, litter pickers and bags will be provided. Participants will be split into groups of 10-20 people and will be led along cleanup routes by a designated leader.

2025 impacts
In 2025, 399 people joined us at 4 litter cleanups and contributed to removing 1,926 pounds of litter (as heavy as two polar bears!) from areas across Burnaby. We estimate our volunteers cleaned up over 65,000 pieces of litter! Join us this year to be part of this momentum, connect with others, be inspired and make a difference in your community.
