Call for Artists

Temporary Eco Artwork/Installation for Burnaby Blooms 2025

The City is seeking artists to activate the “eco-zone” during our annual Burnaby Blooms event taking place on May 4, 2025 at Deer Lake Park. 

Eco-art submissions should use environmentally friendly materials, while not harming or in any way impacting the natural ecological environment in which they will be installed. Submissions should be sensitive to the habitat and cultural significance of the area.

An artist statement is an artist’s written description of their work and/or artistic practice and the proposed installation/work for the project. The intention is to help the viewer better understand the artist’s work, and ensure the proposal supports the festival's theme of environmental sustainability and sustainable art practices.
