You can rent hockey and figure skates at our shop for a fee. Helmets are available at no charge.

Our Toonie Skate admission fee includes skate and helmet rental available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: A CSA-approved hockey helmet is mandatory for all skate lessons and children 12 years and under.

Accessibility

Kensington Complex has ice sledges, skating assists and ice scooters available during the fall and winter season for people with disabilities.

A person 16 years of age or older must accompany children 7 years of age or younger on the ice or floor. The ratio of child to accompanying persons must be no greater than 3 to 1. We recommend that as parents, you don't leave your children under 10 years of age unaccompanied at our facility. For children 12 years and under, a CSA-approved helmet is mandatory.

Parking

There are two designated parking stalls provided in the parking lot, but stairs prevent direct access between the parking lot and the facility. Mobility device users can access the facility via Curtis Street.

Entry/Interior Access

There is level access to the lobby, the arena, and the administration area. Mobility device access to the upper level viewing positions is provided through the west side building entrance.

On the ice

There is a seven inch drop to the ice surface. Kensington Complex has ice sledges, skating assists and ice scooters available during the fall and winter season for anyone that needs a bit of extra support.
