The City of Burnaby is seeking input on the proposed vision and concepts for the Buchanan West Conceptual Master Plan and an amendment to the land use framework of the Brentwood Town Centre Plan. Buchanan West is located in the Brentwood Town Centre and is generally bounded by Lougheed Highway, Gilmore Avenue, Halifax Street and Madison Avenue/Douglas Street.
The proposal reflects the opportunity to transform the area into a distinct high-density, mixed-use walkable and transit-connected neighbourhood. This plan envisions a vibrant, integrated community in the Brentwood Town Centre that will seamlessly connect the surrounding neighbourhoods for all modes of transportation.
The City is hosting an open house and invites the community to drop in and explore the proposed vision and concepts, meet the project team, ask questions and learn more about the project.
