Burnaby, BC – The City of Burnaby is giving music fans something to cheer for this summer as the legendary Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival will return to Deer Lake Park – and this time, admission will be free.
Burnaby Blues + Roots, one of B.C.’s premier outdoor music festivals, is set for August 12, 2023. Over its 22-year history, the festival has featured an array of award-winning artists at Deer Lake Park including Robert Cray, Colin James, Smokey Robinson, k.d. lang, Nathaniel Rateliff, Feist and The War on Drugs.
The full lineup for the 2023 festival will be announced this spring, along with other festival details including volunteer opportunities. The 2023 festival will also feature the return of signature attractions and amenities including the family zone, food trucks and more.
“The Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival is one of the most exciting events that we host in Burnaby,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “By removing ticket fees we’re ensuring that everyone in our community will have the chance to come down to Deer Lake Park and enjoy a fantastic day of music with friends and family.”
