As part of its cross-Canada tour, the renowned RCMP Musical Ride returns to Burnaby this summer with a performance at Swangard Stadium on Monday, June 26. A Canadian symbol of tradition, honour and pride, the Musical Ride is recognized internationally. This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the RCMP in Canada.
“It’s an honour to host the 2023 Musical Ride in Burnaby – it’s such a great show,” said Mayor Mike Hurley. “It’s a wonderful event that we’re thrilled to have back in our community and to have it join the growing lineup of exciting events that are happening in our city throughout the year.”
The Musical Ride consists of a team of up to 32 riders (all RCMP members) and horses demonstrating their spectacular equestrian skill through a variety of formations and cavalry drills set to music.
Tickets are $15 (children under 5 are free) and go on sale starting May 2. Proceeds support Cops for Cancer and Honour House. Gates open at 5 pm and the evening’s events will include RCMP displays, food trucks, pre-show entertainment, and an opportunity for a meet and greet the horses after the show. The main performance starts at 7 pm.
