The City of Burnaby is hosting an information session for builders on the zoning and procedural changes related to the new small-scale multi-unit housing options soon to be permitted on residential lots.
Effective July 1, 2024, residential lots currently zoned for single- or two-family homes will be allowed to accommodate up to 3 or 4 housing units—depending on lot size—and lots near frequent transit service may accommodate up to 6 housing units.
The Builders Forum will be held Thursday, June 27 at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall. This session is intended to inform residential developers, large single family home builders, and design professionals about changes to the Burnaby Zoning Bylaw and process updates, which come into effect July 1, 2024
