Community invited to celebrate official opening of redeveloped Fire Station 4

The City of Burnaby is inviting residents to celebrate the official opening of a new Fire Station 4 on Greystone Drive on July 20.

The completion of Fire Station 4 represents a substantial upgrade to public safety in the Burnaby Mountain area. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the unique needs of this neighbourhood and is also equipped with specialized wildfire firefighting equipment and personnel.

This new fire station replaces the former Duthie Avenue fire station which was built in 1956.

What: An official opening celebration for Fire Station 4 and an opportunity to meet the local firefighters who will be serving this area of Burnaby and see the new facility.  
When: Saturday, July 20, 11 am to 2 pm (A short ceremony with speeches will be at 11:30 am)
Where: 1600 Greystone Drive, Burnaby 

Please note that there is no parking available on site. Residents are encouraged to walk or take transit to attend the event.
