City invites feedback on Public Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy

Last updated: August 6, 2024

The City of Burnaby invites residents to share their input in developing a strategy for public electric vehicle (EV) charging, guided by the Burnaby’s Climate Action Framework.

EV adoption is increasing in Burnaby based on public and individual efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation. The strategy aims to identify future charging needs and bridge gaps in the City’s EV charging infrastructure.

We’re seeking community feedback to understand transportation preferences, current EV use and future EV interest, as well as public EV charging opportunities.

Get involved!
You’re invited to complete a survey at Burnaby.ca/EV from now until Sunday, August 25, 2024. Your feedback will help shape the City’s strategic actions and future plans for public EV charging.

About this project:
Guided by the Council-adopted policies, plans and strategies within Connecting Burnaby, Burnaby Transportation Plan and the City’s Climate Action Framework, the Public EV Charging Strategy supports the acceleration of EV adoption and emphasizes the City’s commitment towards climate action.
