The City of Burnaby is inviting residents to share their feedback on the draft Land Use Framework for the Burnaby 2050 Official Community Plan (OCP). The Framework includes a map and land use designations to provide general guidance on how each parcel of land in Burnaby could be used in the future, including the types of land uses permitted in each area.
Community members are invited to attend an in-person or virtual open house in September, and to share their feedback through an online survey and an interactive map.
- In-person open houses:
- Seven sessions will be held in September on various dates and at different locations across the city. Registration is encouraged but not required. Community members who require accessibility accommodations are asked to register in advance. For details, please visit: Burnaby.ca/Burnaby2050Survey.
- Virtual open house:
- Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 6 to 8:30 pm

This engagement is part of the Official Community Plan (OCP) Phase 3 “Drafting”, in which the draft Land Use Framework (Land Use Map and Land Use Designations table) have been developed based on the community’s feedback on the preferred growth scenario to achieve the community’s vision.
The feedback collected during this phase will be used to refine the draft Land Use Framework and help prioritize the steps we take to achieve the community’s long-term vision for Burnaby. Reports summarizing what the City learned from earlier phases of engagement can be found on the Burnaby 2050 project website.
