City seeks input on proposed traffic calming measures in Edmonds

Last updated: November 12, 2024

The City of Burnaby invites residents and businesses to help make our community safer by participating in Phase 2 of the Edmonds Speed and Traffic Management Study. This phase aims to gather community feedback on proposed traffic calming recommendations designed to enhance road safety in the Edmonds area.

During the first round of engagement, the City collected valuable feedback from the community regarding areas that could benefit from traffic calming measures. This input, combined with traffic data, has helped identify potential locations and mitigation strategies.

In Phase 2, the City is seeking further input on the proposed recommendations. Community members are encouraged to share their voices by taking the Phase 2 survey, which is open until December 8, 2024, at Burnaby.ca/EdmondsTraffic.

In addition to the survey, we will host informative pop-up events where residents can learn more about the project and connect with our project team in person.

  • Saturday, November 30, 11 am-3 pm at Edmonds Community Centre
  • Tuesday, December 3, 4-7 pm at Edmonds Community Centre

The improvements are part of the City’s commitment to the Climate Action Framework and align with Connecting Burnaby, Burnaby’s Transportation Plan
