Calling all art lovers: Burnaby Art Gallery seeks two new committee members

The Burnaby Art Gallery is seeking two art enthusiasts to join the Burnaby Art Gallery Advisory Committee.

This dynamic committee supports the gallery’s fundraising, programming, and collection services, driving forward its mission and vision.

Committee members play a crucial role in promoting investment in the arts and supporting the gallery's unique position within Metro Vancouver’s fine arts community. With a team of nine members, the committee meets six times a year, with the flexibility of half the meetings being remote.

Send us your resume and a letter of intent expressing why you would like to serve on the Burnaby Art Gallery Advisory Committee and attach your current resume. You should have experience or knowledge, abilities and skills related to the mandate of the Burnaby Art Gallery and committee. We encourage people from diverse communities to apply. This includes LGBTQIA2S+, people with disabilities, and BIPOC individuals, who live or work in Burnaby, or have significant experience with public art, cultural and civic issues.

About the Burnaby Art Gallery:

Since 1967, the Burnaby Art Gallery (BAG) has played a unique role within Metro Vancouver’s fine arts community. With exhibitions featuring significant local, Canadian and international artists and a permanent collection of more than 7,000 works—the only public collection in Canada dedicated to works of art on paper—the gallery is a strong supporter of artists, artistic production, and inquiry. The Burnaby Art Gallery also cares for and manages the City’s Public Art Collection.
