About this project
Tennis Canada is proposing to build a state-of-the-art tennis facility in partnership with Tennis BC and the City of Burnaby. The proposed site is the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex, situated between Sprott Street and Kensington Avenue.
This community-serving tennis and racquet sports venue, known as the Pacific Tennis Centre (PTC), will be a valuable addition to the many other sports amenities in the area. Upon completion of the third phase, the addition of 24 courts, including 12 indoor courts, will mark a huge advance in fostering the growth of this popular sport both nationally and locally.
The PTC will offer a community tennis centre as well as a much-needed daily training environment for Tennis Canada’s national junior training program and national wheelchair program. Community participants from Burnaby and throughout the Lower Mainland will be able to train and play alongside some of Canada’s best “next generation” tennis athletes.
