The City of Burnaby is planning to rebuild the playground equipment at 5 neighbourhood parks in 2024. The focus of the reconstruction of the playground and immediate surroundings is to provide new, engaging ways to play for play children while offering safety, accessibility, and inclusivity. The five playgrounds that are planned to be upgraded are at Forest Grove Park (west playground), Jim Lorimer Park, Lobley Park, Lochdale School Park, and Poplar Park.
