Help us celebrate Burnaby Youth Week, a week of fun celebrations, building a strong connection between youth and their community. Burnaby Youth Week highlights the interests, accomplishments and diversity of youth in our city.

Arts Alive: (re)FOLD/(re)FIT Artist Apprenticeship: Paper Allegories

Location: Burnaby Art Gallery | Ages 14-18

The Burnaby Art Gallery is proud to present our annual exhibitions of Arts Alive and Artists Apprenticeship. This year features Burnaby School District’s senior secondary students.

Kick-off BBQ Kick off Youth Week with games, hot dogs and hamburgers on the BBQ and Youth Week prizes! Creekside Youth Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years
Teen Paint Night Show us your inner Picasso and join us for a fun filled paint night! Paint supplies, snacks and refreshments will be provided for all artists Edmonds Community Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years

Walking Mystery Scavenger Hunt Let's recreate the game "Clue" with hints, riddles and ultimately solving the mystery. Costumes recommended but not required.  Great prizes to be won. Burnaby Youth Hub 3-5 pm 12-24 years
Pre-teen Dodgeball Tourney Dip, dodge and dive away from Burnaby’s best Dodgeballers. Sign up for a Team 6 or come be placed on a team. Prizes and refreshments will follow. Edmonds Community Centre 3:15-5 pm 10-12 years
Pizza & Painting Party Show off your artistic talents while chowing down on some pizza! Paint supplies, snacks and refreshments will be provided for all artists. Creekside Youth Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years
Dodgeball Tourney Dip, dodge and dive away from Burnaby’s best Dodgeballers. Sign up as a Team of 6 or come be placed on a team. Prizes and refreshments will follow. Edmonds Community Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years

Annual Pre-teen Dance Bring your best moves to the loudest event of the year. Register in advance (registration opens April 24). $8 admission. Gilmore Community School 7-9 pm Grade 6 & 7 only 
Teen Swim We’re keeping the pool open late for a special teen only swim! Youth will enjoy the use of the pool at Eileen Dailly with your closest friends. Late Night 3-point Contest You’ll have 1 minute to shoot as many 3-pointers as you can. The top 3 will compete in the final. There will be separate categories for grades 8-9 and 10-12. Prizes and swag to be won! Christine Sinclair Community Centre 10-11:30 pm 13-18 years
3-point Competition Lace your basketball shoes up and test your 3-point accuracy against some of Burnaby’s best shooters! Swag and prizes to be won! Bonsor Recreation Complex 10:30 pm-12:30 am 13-18 years

Cameron Basketball Challenge Answer the challenge and show your skills this Youth Week at Cameron Recreation Centre. Open gym program runs every Sunday 5:30-8:45 pm. Open to all genders. Prizes and Youth Week swag to win! Cameron Recreation Complex 6-8 pm 11-18 years

3-point Contest Steph, Sabrina, or yourself? Who is the world’s best 3-point shooter? Come to Edmonds to find out. Prizes and refreshments provided for participants. Edmonds Community Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years
Edmonds Backyard BBQ Sun’s out, burgers and buns out! Show up for food, music and fun in the sun! Edmonds Community Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years

Kings & Queens of the Court Volleyball Who will become Edmonds' volleyball royalty? Teams of 4 will compete to see who will be named kings and queens! All levels welcome. Prizes and refreshments available. Edmonds Community Centre 6-8 pm 13-18 years
