Help us celebrate Burnaby Youth Week, a week of fun celebrations, building a strong connection between youth and their community. Burnaby Youth Week highlights the interests, accomplishments and diversity of youth in our city.

| Arts Alive | Awesomeology: The Gratitude in the Little Thing Opening Reception | In its 43rd year partnership with School District 41, elementary student from K-7 responded to the theme of Awesomeology and shared the little things they are grateful for. | Burnaby Art Gallery | 7-9 pm | Grade K-7 |
| Form Identity, Cast Reflections Artist Apprenticeship Opening Reception | Artist Apprenticeship supports Grade 11 and 12 students in their creative ambitions through mentorship from artists and arts professionals, resulting in an exhibition of their own. | Late Night 3-Point Contest | Each player will have 1 minute to shoot as many 3 point shots as they can. The top 3 shooters will compete in the final. There will be 2 categories: Grade 8-9 and Grade 10-12. Use the back door entrance near the gym. |

Youth Week Citizenship Awards
The City recognizes the achievements of our youth with the Youth Week Citizenship Awards. The mayor presents a Citizenship Certificate to all nominated individuals and awards a $100 bursary to the top 5. Stay tuned for the winner announcement on May 2 at Edmonds Community Centre.
