On behalf of the City and the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver, many thanks to all of our volunteers who took action to protect Burnaby’s environment this year! 2024 had more events and volunteers than ever before.
We’ll be pausing our activities for the fall and winter. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved in spring 2025.
Roll up your sleeves and help protect and restore Burnaby's beautiful parks! We’re looking for volunteers to help remove invasive species and plant native trees at Central, Jim Lorimer, and Deer Lake parks. Volunteers will enjoy a day of exercise and fresh air in one of our beautiful parks, meet new, like-minded friends, and serve our ecosystems and residents by creating a better future for some of our most treasured natural spaces.
No experience is necessary. Events are led by experts at the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver, who will provide instruction, gloves, all the required tools, and refreshments.
