Extending across both sides of Kensington Ave, the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex (East and West) is home to artificial and grass fields that accommodate various outdoor sports activities, including soccer, field hockey, field lacrosse, football, rugby, cricket, tennis, archery and model aeroplane flying.  Visitor information and hours

To complete this sports hub, you’ll also find indoor facilities including an arena (Bill Copeland Sports Centre) and fitness centre (Christine Sinclair Community Centre).

Parking

The five artificial turf playing fields on the west side of Kensington Avenue which make up Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West have four designated parking stalls, which are located in front of the Fieldhouse. A paved ramp from the parking lot provides access to field level.

Entry/Interior Access

The Sports Complex is accessed from Laurel Street, near the intersection of Kensington Avenue. The Fieldhouse interior is accessible. The entrance doors are not automatic. Paved access is provided to all fields from the Fieldhouse.

Washrooms

The washrooms and showers in the Fieldhouse are accessible.

Note

  • In addition to washrooms and showers, the Fieldhouse offers three meeting rooms (capacity 80, 35, and 20 persons), a first aid room, a referees’ change room, and a concession. The three artificial turf playing fields are suitable for soccer, field hockey, field lacrosse and football. Two of the fields are full-sized soccer pitches; one is a full-sized CFL rules football pitch. The playing fields and the meeting rooms in the Fieldhouse must be reserved, which can be done by calling 604-294-7459.

Free parking is available and is located in front of the Fieldhouse. A paved ramp from the parking lot provides access to field level. Please note that part of the east parking lot adjacent to the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club will be closed due to construction. See map for details.

Designated parking stalls, washrooms, changing and shower rooms are available.
