Outdoor Fitness Circuit at Central Park

We bring the best of the gym outdoors

Powered by people and the elements, this outdoor fitness circuit is your free pass to staying active and healthy in the great outdoors.

The Central Park outdoor fitness circuit is located along the 2.5 kilometre Trail of Hope inside beautiful Central Park. It's one of 3 outdoor fitness circuits in Burnaby's parks. The others are Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park–with 12 stations–and Cameron Park, which has been specially designed to provide the exercises suited to seniors. Visitor information and hours

Central Park Outdoor Pool has an accessible washroom/change room and shower. The pool has a lift and an aquatic wheelchair.

Washrooms

All washroom buildings have accessible washroom stalls.

A sustainably created surface for our outdoor fitness circuit stations

Central Park's outdoor fitness circuit station surfaces are made from 100% recycled materials–recycled steel and rubber tires have been transformed into an environmentally-friendly, rubberized surface for our outdoor fitness circuit stations.

The poured-in-place rubber is made from recycled tires that have been ground into granules to create a finished surface that's maintenance-free. A total of 7 tons of rubber went into this special outdoor flooring for the circuit stations–and 84% of that came from scrap tires recycled in BC.

The $15,000 recycled tire rubberized surface was made possible by the generous contributions of Tire Stewardship BC (TSBC) and Kal Tire.
