Temporary closure of Sperling Avenue entrance and parking lots due to construction
Visitors can park in front of Bill Copeland Sports Centre or across the street at Christine Sinclair Community Centre and Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West parking lots. From the Burnaby Lake East parking lot, please follow the detour signs to access the building entrance from Kensington Avenue.
The new lower level entrance off of Sperling Avenue will be accessible at ice level on March 25. At the same time, the north west parking lot in front of Bill Copeland will close for expansion and improvement. This parking lot is scheduled to re-open in September 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Construction impacts
There will be increased construction activity in and around Bill Copeland Sport Centre in anticipation of the closure of Burnaby Lake Arena. This may impact parking, front desk services and building access for short periods of time Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm. Please check the Burnaby Lake Recreation Complex project page for more information on the construction around BCSC.

Commercial general liability insurance is required to rent any City facility- please check with the facility for specific requirements. You may purchase insurance through an independent broker of your choice, or receive a quote through AON Insurance.
